Introducing TradesMate: business admin without the office

A launch note for TradesMate, an Android business app that keeps jobs, customers, quotes, invoices, payments, expenses, and team activity together.

TradesMate was built for independent tradespeople and small teams who need practical business administration in the same place they already manage the working day: their phone.

Why this product exists

A job rarely ends when the physical work is finished. Customer details, appointments, quotes, invoices, costs, overdue balances, and follow-up all create another layer of work that is easy to scatter across messages, paper, and spreadsheets.

TradesMate connects those records around the job, giving the business owner a clearer view of what is scheduled, what has been billed, what has been paid, and what still needs attention.

A workflow shaped around real trade work

Users can keep a customer directory, schedule jobs, contact customers by phone, email, or WhatsApp, prepare quotes and invoices, record expenses and payments, and review revenue, outstanding balances, and profit by currency.

Quotes, invoices, and expenses can remain connected to the customer and job that produced them, reducing duplicate entry and making each piece of administration easier to find later.

Built as a connected service

The Android client uses secure account access and a live FastAPI service so business records remain available across sessions. Optional notifications support job reminders, while subscription management unlocks advanced business features.

The dedicated TradesMate website explains the product for working tradespeople; this case study records the product design, Android delivery, backend, and operational thinking behind it.
