Introducing PubPlay: a games-night system for pubs
A launch note for PubPlay, an Android tablet and web system for running darts, pool, bingo, tournaments, fixtures, scores, and live leaderboards.
PubPlay helps venues turn casual games into organised weekly events that are easier for staff to run and more engaging for customers to follow.
Why this system exists
Games nights can bring people back during quieter parts of the week, but paper sign-up sheets, improvised fixtures, and manually updated scoreboards create work for staff and confusion for players.
PubPlay connects the host tablet, customer phones, and the pub TV so registrations, fixtures, scores, and leaderboards stay aligned during the event.
How a games night works
Staff use the Android tablet to configure the venue, create an event, display its QR code, manage players and fixtures, enter results, and follow the live standings.
Customers scan the code and join through a mobile web page without installing an app. A separate TV display can show event information and leaderboard updates to the room.
Why it helps the pub
The value is a more professional event with less repeated administration: clearer sign-up, visible progress, live results, and an archive for recurring competitions.
The larger goal is simple: help pubs turn darts, pool, bingo, table football, and other casual games into repeat weekly events that support atmosphere, footfall, and customer retention.
